The Imperial Island is the center of Marholt. It has four main cultures in the form of countries; The Charon Republic, The Hispanya Empire, The Free Cities of Azerra and the Kingdom of Maygar and one culture that has not formed a country, the Venzeri.

The Mid-Kingdom Isle lies north of the Imperial Island. It has three cultures, that make up seven countries. Norumbria, Wessex, Essex, Sussex and Mercia are Briganti, while Aveyone and Bretane are part of the Charon Republic and the Fens are part of the Hispanya Empire.
In climate, flora and fauna, it is modeled after Britain.
The Island of Kush lies south of the Imperial Island. It has three main cultures; Manganni, Boganni and Bogota, forming a variety of countries and kingdoms, most being part of two empires; The Kushite Empire dominating the northern coast and the Wabash Federation on the southern coast. Of particular note, the Hispanya Empire has a colony, Burgos on the northeastern coast.

Nor Holt lies north and east of the Mid-Kingdom Isle. It has two cultures, the Juten, which make up three countries; Markland, Rusland and Frisia and the Alts, who occupy the northern half of the island in small hunter-gather tribes. North of the island lies a string of smaller islands, many of which have been colonized by the three kingdoms.

Wes Holt lies west of the Imperial Island. It contains a native culture, the Toma, which has formed kingdoms and empires in the past, but currently exists as a myriad of tribes of varying sizes. The east coast has been colonized by the Charon Republic and countries of the Mid-Kingdom Isle. The south-east coast has been colonized by the Kushite Empire, while the west coast has been colonized by countries from Arganna.

Ost Holt lies east of the Imperial Island. It contains a native culture, the Skarling, which exists as a myriad of tribes of varying size. The west coast has been colonized by countries from the Mid-Kingdom Isle and the Hispanya Empire. The north-west coast has been colonized by countries from Nor Holt, while the east coast and the south-east coast have been colonized by countries from Arganna.

Arganna lies between Wes Holt and Ost Holt. It has one dominate culture, the Jenji, broken into three distinct subgroups and forming no less than sixteen distinct countries. The most dominate country is the Sunghu Empire on the east coast and is the heart of one of the sub-groups of Jenji.

Isle of Man lies east of the Mid-Kingdom Isle and contains one culture, the Elves.

Holten Gap Islands lies between Wes Holt and Nor Holt and is made of a mix of cultures as it was settled by people from all over the three large islands; the Imperial Island, the Mid-Kingdom Isle and Nor Holt. It is a loose federation of towns and is akin to Caribbean Islands during Earth’s Golden Age of Piracy.
